After 6 weeks of waiting I got a call on Thursday saying the car was at the dealership, several days ahead of the estimated time.
I had to wait until 2 PM to go get her, pretty nervous and excited. And there she was, race red with silver stripe and ceramic interior, a comobo I have not been able to find anywhere else. Ecoboost premium, this thing is light years ahead of anything I have owned, so I am very happy.
She had 10.5 miles, that's it, factory tests, trucking, fueling in town, that was it.
THe whole process took about two hours, with the aftermarket manager and then the finance manager trying to make me leave another $6,000 in upgrades and warraties and what nots. While I do plan to get an extended service plan, I am going to get it on line, where it costs a fraction of what they wanted.
So I got the keys and gingerly drove out of there, and up the freeway. I looked down and I was doing 100
I suppose if I had the GT I would have been doing 150, but that is plenty :-)
The paint job is gorgeous, the ceramic interior looks fantastic. If I had any doubts going in, they were dispelled when I opened the doors. It looks fantastic!
The hood alignment is perfect, but there is a slight misalignment on the front quarter panel, but I am not going to bother.
And off course, it is RAINING today, so I am going to wait until tomorrow to hit the mountain roads
I now own a red Mustang!!!
