I have loads of red tints / candy paint from airbrushing but I will be sticking to vinyl. Much easier to undo if you don't like it or need to remove it for any reason.

That red spray says it is for interior use, so it wouldn't last long on the tail lights.

Well, obviously Vinyl is an option, i'd just stumbled across that as an option... From what I remember, early days vinyl wise, is that it was easy to spot that it was a vinyl, you could see the edges, and heat wise for the UK, unless you found a garage and cranked it to 23c it'd be impossible to stick on...

If it does show up in a matte/satin colour @YLA_G is it not possible to just drop a gloss overcoat ontop of it to make it glossy?

I've been amazed by the number of "ooh, I like the white/clear lights" comments I've had. My concern about it evaporated when I got the car. Can't see them from where I'm sitting after all.

If I changed them I think I would only go for an OEM style option. If I rear ended someone with dark tints on their rear lights I think I'd be querying it with the insurance company.

Its funny really.... if we had red lights...everyone would want the clear ones..

Not sure it bothers me too much...but i am sure once owning the car i will have a mountain of `bits` i want to do..

The first one for me would be changing the exhaust to get it sounding REALLY like a Stang..and then the front DRLs for sure..

but yes sure, you can paint them and i Did read a thread recently on a guy with a Black Shadow version who sprayed them black..Now that DID look cool

There are lots of positive comments on the vynl light tints from Dennis on the European Forum. I have them waiting for my car when it arrives. They are glossy & the right shade of red. I will get someone to fit them for me though as I would probably mess it up!

Is it not easier to drive around with your foot on the brake?
