There is something wrong there. My car arrived in Zeebrugge on 14th March, Southampton on the 29th, and my dealer today. I hope you get it sorted soon.
Mine landed in Southampton on 16th March, but still no news as to when it will be at the dealership (Hastings Ford). I chased the Ford girls and was told yesterday it's had its Thatcham sticker applied so should be 'soon' but I'm started to get really pi$$ed off as to how long these final stages seem to take. It's like we're back in the 1970's!

I'm just going to be harrassing my dealer like a bat out of hell, if he wants to get rid of me he'll have to bring me my damn car *Evil laugh*.

Okay jokes aside, i'm sure i'm about to have this issue in a mere few days as i'm due in Southampton next week, once i suss out the stumbling block i'll see how to get over it. Unfortunately Karen's on leave next week so i'll be communicating with Stacey :)

The impression I'm getting is that dealers have ZERO ability to impact deliveries no matter how much you hassle them (sad really) and there's little Stacey and Karen can do as everything is done 'at arms length' - eg when cars stacked up at Baltimore during the bad weather - and then the knock on effects at Zebrugge and Southampton.

I do think those of us who ordered early have borne the brunt of the delays (especially those who ordered in 2014) but maybe they've started to iron themselves out - until the next snowstorm that is!

Bloody hell, from Hastings they can probably see it with a decent set of binoculars! Lol!

If it's had the Thatcham stickers applied, it'll be here very soon, early next week even. And when you have it, all will be forgiven Ford! And nothing will stop you from smiling. Keep the faith! Look forward to seeing the pics, which is a legal requirement on the forum!

Agreed, but i'll see when i go through it, I ideally want my car to come weekend of the 16/17th April. Gives me maximum time to sell my current car (If anyone wants a Corsa for one of their kids, give me a bell lol!).

Early adopters got literally shafted with the issues, but that's the same with anything new, no system, process etc gets to be stress tessed until it's live. Stark, Cati and others can tell you how bad the early adoption was for them! I've had it easy as much as i 'moan' lol ;).
jord79 Stickers are put on the cars within the first 48hours of them being in Southampton, the wait is usually for the transporters, which apparently according to my dealer, come from dealerships, starting to suspect that 'franchises' Trust ford, Lookers, etc have their own 'Transportation' and will do their car deliveries in batches etc to cut costs. Will see what they do with the Mustang. So might be ford centrally allocating the deliveries to capture as many franchises as possible, however all of this is unconfirmed, my dealer says he can schedule mustangs to come up whenever and he can bring customer cars up when he needs them, everyone elses dealers seem to say it's ford centrally who chose when they come up.

The dealers have no say when they get their vehicles, it's down to the guys that work in Dahengam, Southampton and Liverpool.
Don't wanna say too much, but Uk cars should get delivered within 5 days from when the car gets to vluuingen.

Mustangs will be different, they won't sent them out until they have a full transporter load, ( any ford vehicles), depending on location, they might get sent to Dagenham or Liverpool first.

Haven't we seen photo's of Mustang's on lorries with other ford's on them?

As for the rest, I thought that was the case, but so much conflicting information.

What is Vluuingen? Typo lol?

I used to build the loads for the dealers. A few years ago, when ford transporter fleet was small, A lot has changed in last couple years.

Hopefully my dealer has a lot of cars stocked up down in southampton ready to bring up to bham , bearing in mind BSM Birmingham is (or to previous knowledge) one of fords biggest dealerships in the UK (Might be biggest Independent idk). We'll see, i have no clue and i'm not going to pretend to have knowledge or experience in this field, can only say what i've been told :D

My dealer said he has four Mustangs waiting in Southampton, so for the life of me I'm struggling to think why it's taking so long to get them onto a transporter to Hastings :headbonk:
