Of our special ordered 2016 GT Premium 401A...
Right off the bat, this was a hard decision for us to make. We went back and forth on if we should keep the 2014 and be happy (It was paid for) or go all in and get the new gen. The 2014 was, without any hesitation, the best vehicle we have ever owned. Almost bullet proof reliable. Fun to drive and never failed to put us in a good mood.
Well, we purchased a new home and my employer changed my "Office" address so those changes kind of made the decision for us.
So off to the wonderful folks at Bowen Scarff Ford. We know each other very well. I think we have purchased a vehicle or two (Sarcasm alert) from them now. And as usual, very accommodating, bust their tails to make us happy and well, great advice.
Only time will tell if this car can live up to the expectations we have for him (Yes, him, more on that in a moment). I do a lot of driving for work, and the wife loves our drives whenever possible. To say we will drive this car a lot is easy.
We did do our first "Mod" before leaving the dealership. We really did not care to much for the majority of the rims that Ford is putting on these cars right now, and actually not to happy how Ford "Limits" what car can get what. We decided that the Foundry wheels would be the best option (Being 9" wide allowing for larger tires) and had the dealership wrap them in Continental DWS 06's in 275/35/20's.
We did bring the brand new original Pirelli summer tires home in our Tahoe =]
And as soon as I got home for "My turn" at the wheel, I installed our second mod (Pic below).
Now for the name, we are thinking Maximus at the moment.
And how do we know it is a "Male" Mustang? The last three digits of the vin are 317. For those who are of the religious type...
John 3:17 New International Version (NIV)
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
So there you have it! Our third Mustang released to the world...
