I'd imagine that the wheels and tires are 80% of the difference.
Springs and sway bar end links are 10%
Splitter and wing are 5%
Shock tuning is 5%

Don't forget the recommended track alignment as well. Might need camber plates on both R and non-R to achieve those settings.

Voodooo, how is the ride and handling with the R springs and end link compared to non-R versions?

This is all very interesting. Thanks for the opinions.

Again, I was only curious what could be added to the track GT350 to get it closer to the R on track. Like anything software related, I'm sure even the mag ride code will be available soon, either officially or reverse engineered.

I do agree that getting carbon wheels alone make buying the R a no brainier(getting one is a whole 'nother story). My intent was not to suggest you could do it cheaper, but to find out what was available(VooDooo is leading the charge I guess) to get a standard track GT350 closer to the R version.

I'd be perfectly OK with lite AL track wheels instead of the pricey fragil?/spendy CF versions.

Performance under what conditions? Highway or track?
Equal as in "the same as". Take a GT350 track pack car and get it as close as possible to the R version. I don't care where it is driven, it has to be road legal, just like the R. I could turn a GT350 tech car in to a dedicated track car if I wanted to...easy and expensive. It would beat the hell out of an R. That is not the point of my question.

But to answer you..."both".

OK, clear now. Taking a track pack to R-like is much different than taking a base or even a tech to R-like.

Thank you.
My intention is to make my car mine to my likings. I have deduced nearly 130 pounds. I have been thinking about switching to the Recaro profi spa carbon seats to remove another 70 plus pounds. I installed the ARH long tubes and off road X pipes and kept the stock mufflers (excellent feature to keep) in sport mode it sounds like the world is coming to a end. In normal mode it's tame. I am in the middle of replacing all the rear IRS cradle bushings and differential bushings with delrin and aluminum bushings. I'm replacing the 2 lower control arm bushings with bearings and also the toe links and vertical links, rear adjustable sway bar links.
On the front, I'm replacing the sway bar links to adjustable links, waiting on vorshlag camber plates, and unless BMR makes them first I may make a set of front lower control arm bearings. Front and rear GT350R springs. On track I think I'll start with 2 degrees camber and 0-.060 toe in front then see how the tire wear and temps are.

It would be easy to add the R differences to a Track Pack- biggest thing is swapping out for light carbon fiber wheels and cup tires - that accounts for 80% of the extra road performance. Then you have the small variables like front splitter and larger wing and a new alignment/tuning of the Magneride.

Plenty of guys with the Boss 302 at the track had the Laguna Seca goodies on their cars. The GT350 Track Pack is already much faster than my ability so the only thing I will be working on improving is the driver.

After all this bits, you could buy one with a very heavy ADM and have an R
After all the bits, you don't have the tuning for the R.
Which from all I have read is different as well.
^^THIS!

Not everyone is lucky enough to get a R. I tried to find a R allocation in a 200 mile radius and only one dealer had one and they were asking over 95000.00. I will bet with the same driver in both cars, a track pack with the same tires as the R the difference in track times would surprise you. I'm not a professional driver, but when I finish my car, I'm very confident my car could easily beat a R if driven by the same driver on the same track on the same day. Also for less money.
