I explained that I was fitting a Ford Borla Touring exhaust.... The chap went off to discuss with the underwriter, and came back saying it made no difference...... And they would happily put it in writing..:amen:

PS he also added that stripes wouldn't be an issue..(I don't like em anyway) BUT a wrap could be a problem getting cover....
Pretty much got the same answer when I said about getting aftermarket stripes fiited. Didn't make a difference to the quote (ÂŁ168.63 - nor did the aftermarket wheels I wanted to add).

I am interested on what they would say regarding "improvements" to the chassis and suspension (BMR & Steeda Products). By makeing the car more stable, predictable and better at handling, surely this is a safty improvement and therefore reduce my quote even more ?:D

Directline won't insure anyone with a wrap.

Directline won't insure any modifications on someone under 25 years old. I class that as ageist! haha.

So they're out of the window, asked if they wer eokay with me covering the cost if a car crashed etc and they said no, any modifications as i'm 21 would invalidate the insurance....

Called Adrian Flux, disclosed the wrap: ÂŁ6000

Haven't tried A-Plan, will try next.

Directline, Adrian flux, Privlaedge all wiped off.

Adrial flux forwarded me to some call centre that have more customers to deal with, so i got then sent to 'tiger' another comparrison website, cheapest there is 1300 with bell. But at least that include the wrap, have to question if a real value of 2140 (1600 wrap + 540 insurance increase) is worth it now... fuck my life. I was always told i never had to disclose the wrap... :/

Might have to go through independant insurers, if i knew of any, i know there's a few 'small insurance companies' around birmingham that insure premium vehicles at dirty cheap prices... Hense why the likes of 'Lord Aleem' got insured on Aventadors as a main driver... at 19.

Being 21 sure does have it's disdvantages with these w4nk stain robbing you blind insurers

That Lord Aleem dick has his parents money to fall back on if he fucks up. His insurance is to make him legal to drive I would imagine. And don't forget your seeing him in YouTube world not IRL

Whoever told you, you don't have to disclose a wrap needs kicking in the heed lol. It's the most obvious modification!

Lol it's not even his parents, it's all drug money and from money laundering. Just took them a while to siphon it into the system. I need insurance to make me legal to drive, i have money to fall back on, not the point, i literally just need the legality to drive as I said in a previous post, i'd cover the wrap in the event of a crash, and not have the wrap insured as i'd cover it myself, but apparently they need to know :headbonk:.

As for who told me i didn't need to, multiple wrap companies actually

Cuz i was told so, by 3 or 4 different wrap companies
Jimboy2 no i don't as it's a temporary change and not permanent it'll be a vinyl adhesive wrap. It's reversable so it's not needing to be told to the DVLA, this was confirmed by adrian flux, DL and the guy who refered me to 'tiger' on the phone today. The car will still be Race Red, and if things continue like this, i wont even be wrapping the fking car :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Oh and you also need to inform the DVLA if your having the entire car wrapped.
I'm going to disagree. :p

I'm sure I've read somewhere that as it's not a permanent change of colour i.e. a proper respray, the DVLA don't need to be informed. I'm sure it'll be fun explaining that to the police if you get pulled over though.

As for not needing to inform your insurance company...
