Just been to the dealer this afternoon to get a part-exchange price for my Pro_Cee'd GT and a finance quote for my Mustang GT.

Good news on ALL fronts!

Monthly payment: £336.75, was expecting more.
Insurance quote with mods (GT350 Wheel, loud pipes): £510.78
Final Payment on the car: £14,558, way cheaper than I anticipated

Terrance, my dealer, also stated that he'll prioritize my Mustang for delivery when it lands in Southampton and, if I find that its in Southampton before he does, give him a call and he'll book it onto a transporter ASAP.

One strange thing is that atop my finance agreement it says Car Delivery date is the 16th of March rather than the 9th of April. HMMMMMMM ;) I shall remain cautiously optimistic. Thankfully the Finance wont actually start until they tick a box that says I've taken delivery.

Told them not to fit any form of front license plate. No holder. No Plate. I'll be buying my own "import" plate from Demon Plates. 330mm x 154mm (which is as close as I can get to American plate dimensions). So that should look awesome, too.

Finally, if anyone wants a Mustang ASAP, they have one at Looker's Benfield in Sunderland. Red. GT. I was actually tempted to cancel my order and take the red on in its place so I would've already had a pony on the drive as I type this! But no. I resisted temptation.

All in all, its been a good Saturday.

£500 when I got first put in the order. £2500 in cash in December. Part-Ex on my car is £11,800 but I owe £4573.75 on it.

Total deposit is £10,226.25.
Car I ordered after the tax increase but before the price increase. So with metallic paint its £33,610.

As for the 16th delivery date, its more than possible. Some cars only spend a week at Zeebrugge and its one overnight trip to get to Southampton. Ship arrives at Z tomorrow, so 10 days is very much possible.

Considering my age a bank loan would've actually been the same or higher. So no complaints from me.

All ford pcp rates are 5.8% on all stangs which aint bad if you've got a bad debt history ect too, but then why would you be buying one, crackin price ben, you'll be another few hundred in petrol so still well under 1k a month to run.

I was just about to type "don't hold your breath" when I checked on mine. Discharged at Zeebrugge 26/2; delivered from Zeebrugge (i.e. Southampton) 4/3. That's 7 days total. My dealer was expecting 4-5 weeks. Need to get onto him. Shows this sort of turnaround is possible; and so is your 10 days!

I spend about £135 in fuel as is right now at the current prices and, you know what? Not expecting it to increase drastically with the Mustang.

The problem with small (specifically modern) hot hatchbacks like mine is that the tiny turbo engines have so much boost pressure (mine runs 17.4psi stock!) that if you so much as tickle the turbo they start drinking fuel like nobodies business. Go WOT and they're just as bad if not worse than the larger V6 and V8 engines they're supposed to replace! But hey, toooootally accurate and honest CO2 emissions and all that crap :headbonk: ;)

About 250 miles to one £45 tank in my hot hatch when I'm not stepping on eggshells.
About 230 miles to one £55 tank in the Mustang from what I've seen when also not stepping on eggshells. Still looking at under £200 a month in fuel and just over £200 at worst.

If I make good on my personal promise to visit croft circuit once in a blue moon, then it'll definitely be close to £1k a month to run. :lol:

All this 7 days in Zeebrugge shiz is sounding promising. 5.8% APR is what I thought, just checking they hadn't bumped it up. Optional final payment has plummeted though. Was near 17k at the end of January after a 3yr deal. Good in some ways, but it pushes the monthly payments up which isn't great news.

You're not wrong there, if I sit off turbo the car just asks for a sip of fuel every now and then, on turbo and it drinks like a student in freshers week.
Last tank returned 26mpg and that's 100% town, home to graft and back crawling through the western bypass morning car park ( along with a couple of wot runs)

What mileage did you put on it to get a GFV of £14.5k? That seems to have dropped since I was last looking at them if you left it on standard 12k per annum.
