Got a quote from my local dealer for a silver manual GT.. $64,000, is this a good price? Didnt haggle at all, just simply asked for a quote, Not sure how much wiggle room there is, hoping a bit but i doubt it, pretty on par with Ford Aus pricing (config tool says around $63k drive away)

Seems high, bargain the price down with the dealer. From memory Ford website used to say something around $60-$61k, but then again, that was almost a year ago...

Aussie Dollar has dropped, and Australian models have increased slightly in prices since then. From memory it was like $2.5k increase or something around there for the GT.

That would be pretty close to the mark after the price rise.

The dealer delivery charge is where they get you - they are wildly inconsistent and your most likely avenue for negotiation.

Just double checked the quote dealer delivery is roughly $2,800.. that doesnt sound too bad considering dealer delivery on my FPV was $1500

When I ordered mine back in 2014, I didnt even ask for a price.
The conversation went like this:

Dealer: Hi, how may I help you?
Me: I want a Mustang, this is my money and where do I sign?

Us too....we put down our deposit regardless of the price... knew how much we could afford to spend and decided to work out the details later

I've not even set eyes on the dealership yet - I'll need directions.

Was all done over the phone in the space of five minutes - 1K deposit by CC - then had to MMS the dealer a photo of my licence.

First time I will meet my dealer is on the day of delivery - they are even sending someone to my home to lowball me on my trade!

Is that drive away or are there other costs (stamp duty etc)?

WOW. :hail:

I bet your dealer loves you.
I know one salesman who told me that one of his customers continually rings him when he reads something new about the car...really pi ss es the salesman off.

Anyone who follows the UK sub-forum will see a prime example of that.

I have emailed my dealer three or four times over the past year to clarify a few things but that's the extent of it. He ALWAYS responds promptly and accurately.

Providing there are no hiccups come delivery, he's earned himself a glowing survey.
