Just wondering if any owners have looked into the cost along with the positive's and negatives of a clear paint protection film like what #M do. I am interested on peoples thoughts. Would only consider it on the front of the Car and front part of the bonnet just to stop stone chips.
Only other option is a Car Bra.

My detailer recommends that as the best option especially if your colour (like RR) especially will show chips up. He suggests that $1,000 for the whole car from a 3M "wrapper" is well worth it. Got to be cheaper for a partial which I'm also considering (facia and bonnet).

A grand for a full wrap seems hopeful.

I'm going with Reflect Effect who provide the "standard" kit (front, leading front bonnet/guards plus mirrors) which retails at $745. I'll be getting some extra applied to the leading half of the rear guards due to the fact that they protrude so far and will likely be stone magnets.

Possibly consider the areas behind each wheel, have heard that even on stock width wheels / tyres, they get sandblasted by debris kicked up from the road fairly easily on this car.

Its expensive stuff! My mate runs a car wrap business and he reckons for the 3M stuff, just to do bonnet, bumper and front fenders would run him $1000 just for materials! But he did say it is fantastic but he only does it for people with Lambo's and Ferrari's where cost isn't an issue

I'm curious - is there an obvious seam across the bonnet where the film ends? Seems like even if it super thin it would become a dirt/dust trap on a daily driver. Less of an issue on your weekend Ferrari.

Agree that is my concern with going with a film.

I agree I am concerned about a seam being a dust trap plus would it make easy for the film to peel.

Saw these mentioned on a thread in the US section, could be an option.

Apparently they are also developing a set for the rear.

Being in WA, I haven't been able to find anyone here yet to quote except my dealer. $1499 for the '3M self -epairing clear protection wrap for front bumper, side mirrors, door handles and forward of the rear wheel arches. Then if I want the rear bumper done : full rear bumper $950 or just top insert of rear bumper $350, Door edges - $200, Bonnet strip 18" $320, 24" $390 or 30" $460. I need more quotes here in WA.
Also is anyone able to recommend anyone here in WA that does paint protection?

I have been in contact with these suppliers in the US and they are hopeful of having the rears ready to go by the end of this week. They are just waiting on the fittings for attachment. At this stage they have not said how the rears are to be attached.
There is a separate post I have put up with the title Mudflaps/Mudspats in the Australian section
The suppliers of the above call them RockGuards. When I find out more I will put up a further reply to my other post.

Its hard to get an online price fro a full wrap without emailing for a quote.

The one I did find quotes $4000 for a full wrap, I'm not sure if getting a clear would make it any cheaper either.
