Like the title says. What is the easiest way to empty your fuel tank? I need to pull all the E85 out of it. Couldn't seem to find it anywhere in search so if i missed it my apologies.

Thanks.

Go for a nice cruise with some heavy acceleration, and when fuel gets low head home and let her idle till empty.

Maybe one day the auto manufacturers will install a drain valve at the bottom of the tank - this way when there is a need to drain it, it's very quick and simple.

Draining it via the fuel pump will still not drain the tank 100% to empty - because the fuel pump has a filter sock on it and the fuel will only pump out until the pump cannot suck out what is below the filter. If you need the tank 100% bone dry of E85, there's still going to be residual amount left in the tank.

So hoodlums can easily steal your gas? Doubt it.

Just run it low and fill up with gasoline. The little bit of e85 left in your tank will mix just fine anyway since most gasoline has ~10% ethanol anyway.

Video is for water but gas works the same way:

I did this to my '16 GT and it works pretty good. I love the smell of gunpowder in the interior.:D
