I installed the rousch intake a month ago and while it sounds great it feels like there's a little lost on acceleration from a stopped position. would there be any negatives or downside to swapping back into the stock intake to compare? if the roush ends up being better than stock then i'll go back thus performing 1 more swap. :eyebulge:

Prior to instal of the Roush CAI, did you disconnect the battery? This is not necessary per instructions, but a lot of people are saying the computer has to relearn the new part, possibly causing the slight loss in acceleration.

I think the Roush is more for sound. Isn't our airbox the same as the GT? So if it flows enough for that... I was thinking I wanted the Roush intake for sound and looks, the underhood of the V6 is so boring, but now that I have mine, the engine makes a lot more noise than I thought it would. I'm not a Mustang guy, used to Japanese cars. It makes noise in a good way. Not sure I need more yet.

I don't know about a lot of you guys, but I've been extremely happy with my k&n 69 typhoon series CAI. Makes a great sound and a bit of increased performance was noticeable. My brother has the airraid intake and he said he likes mine better in terms of the noise and torque.

It's strange to me that others have installed the Rouch CAI and report no improvement in performance. I'm on my third 3.7 liter Mustang, and love them, and this mod is the single best one I have installed. By seat of the pants feel of course, I was really surprised and happy by the way it turned out. I had a JLT and an Injen on my 2011 and couldn't feel anything at all. I think it really is worth the 10 horsepower they claim. As for the sound, it's awsome, better than my old 69 Road Runner, I love it!

Ill be ordering the Roush intake soon as well. Ive never done an intake swap but its not very expensive and sounds cool so why not give it a try. Any actual performance gain is a plus lol.

yeah i didn't notice any gains at all. in fact i'm on the fence as to whether i lost some muscle on acceleration.
