So when you add the racing fuel, does new Whipple tune sense the increased octane and add timing without having to change to a different tune?

In theory yes. The higher octane fuel will have better resistance to knock, thus allowing the tune to add a little timing. If you do put race fuel in, disconnect the battery and allow the car to relearn the fuel.

You have the new flight controls and harridan features right. When not tracking do you keep the octane adjust and knock limiting feature on?

Yes I have all the Guardian features and some, I run with them all on when I'm just cruising. I don't run octane adjust.

Good passes. It is making some power. Improve the sixty foot and you have a very low 10. Is it spinning?

Do you feel the octane adjust cuts too much power? It seems after reading on it that octane adjust doesn't actually read octane, but rather decreases spark advance either by global change in the spark map or by increasing knock sensitivity.

Octane Adjust Retards timing 6 degrees. I'd only use it say if you were only able to get 87 octane fuel and if you bought some bad 91 octane but that's just me. 6 degrees is a good amount and you will probably feel it. Just a extra safety feature to choose from.

OK so its a global change and effects all RPM and load ranges?
