1965 AND 2015 Mustang Display

Ford designers have frequently cited the 1965 Mustang as a source of inspiration behind the 2015 Mustang with several of its design cues adapted from the original Mustang.

Not only do the vehicles share a design DNA, but now they have been literally fused together into a single one-of-a-kind display that will be part of a permanent exhibit at the National Inventors Hall of Fame Museum to commemorate the Mustang as a symbol of 50 years of automotive innovation.

The interactive display will allow visitors of the museum to sit on either side of the fused vehicle to experience the differences between the two functional driver compartments of the 1965 and 2015 models. The display will directly compare the juxtaposed styling, features and V8 engine notes that have resulted from a half-century of pony car evolution.
