Yeah, there are actual very small chips in the windshield. I originally thought they were tiny bugs or some kind of road gunk but getting down really close you can tell there are small pits/chips in the glass. They are so small that they aren't really noticeable unless the light hits them just right, but they are all over the windshield (especially the passenger side). I haven't noticed anything in the paint in the front of the car.
