The Ford Dealer offered an alternative to Opti-Coat Called Williams...….but everything I had read indicated Opti-coat and they are specialists in the job where as the Williams coating was to applied by one of the men in the Service departmentNice work Phil, good move on the Opticoat too. The wheels look great, are they stock?
The wheels are the forged option wheel that Ford offered as one of the options along with magneride, recaros, etcNice work Phil, good move on the Opticoat too. The wheels look great, are they stock?
Not sure how Ford work the paint protection options. My dealer offered a Williams coating but everything I read pointed towards Opti-coat.Do dealers do Opticoat protection ? I'm looking at Affinesse here in Victoria
Mine has done 1400km and as a consequence of the information available on the Clutch spring and shift forks I find myself almost over concentrating on these issues. I would like to install the steeda clutch spring, an mgw shifter which seems superior to the FP shifter but I don't want to jeporadise the warranty. I think I would prefer to replace the Shift forks before they break as opposed to waiting for them to breakYeah same here, Mine has done 1500km and never taking over 5500 rpm and only shifted slowly.
sometimes its hard to get into first but I don't think its shift fork related. at the first 3000km service I was thinking about getting the ford shifter installed so I can keep my warranty.
I would love to get the mgw shifter so I don't have to worry about breaking the shift forks only problem is I will lose the 5 year warranty.
I guess we just have to wait and see
I understood that, my biggest fear is that I install the MGW, then the shift forks break and Ford say I have voided my warrantyiirc i read that replacing with an MGW shifter doesn't eliminate the shift fork. It's not in the shifter itself or something but rather transmission that the issue is so replacing with MGW doesn't fix it?
Yeah im thinking of a steeda clutch spring as well. $100 isn't too much for maybe a better feel, even though I don't mind the stock one.Mine has done 1400km and as a consequence of the information available on the Clutch spring and shift forks I find myself almost over concentrating on these issues. Which short shifter did you install ?Yeah im thinking of a steeda clutch spring as well. $100 isn't too much for maybe a better feel, even though I don't mind the stock one.
Well I got the Short shifter done, OTT stripes, ceramic coat, window tint. now thinking Clutch spring, BG gearbox oil, black lug nuts and Cold air intake.. when will it end . God I love this car.
I got the Ford performance one fitted by the dealer at my 3000km service really happy with it and i guess you meant throttle body spacer? i didnt even know about it but after doing some quick search looks like something i will get. haha so thanks for that, more money . i think you should pay half. hahaWhich short shifter did you install ?
What about throttle boy spacer, oil separator ?
Unless they can prove it's directly attributable then they're not allowed to.I understood that, my biggest fear is that I install the MGW, then the shift forks break and Ford say I have voided my warranty
