You think 126 mph is running good ?:headbonk:
Yea, 126mph is on par with Roush cars in good weather not heatsoaked which = <600whp.

Yea that's the part that worries me. But that was with an auto? I have learned the world of difference in this platform auto vs manual. On my other non-mustang cars, the main difference was always just ET, but here it seems MPH is greatly effected, mostly from the 4-5 shift with the MT82 + 3.73 gears.
P1sc, auto, catted LTs, 570whp, ~9psi.

My buddy was at the track yesterday with similar DA and setup. 2015 GT PP car, whipple stage 2, 3.625 pulley, octanium, same tires as you, RXT clutch, long tubes and limited seat time. he was running 11s at 126. My car was a couple of MPH down yesterday. The weather was rough.

I'm running consistently 10.7xx @132-134 mph with a 1.5x 60ft on pretty much same setup. I usually add a can of octanium when headed to track. I have the Steeda stop the hop package, their linear springs, viking rear shocks, Whipple tune and 3.625" pulley. I am however running on hoosier bias ply slicks and switched to 3:31 gears.

Thanks guys. the logs showed the car adding the max of 2 degrees timing for most of the run, so outside of an oxygenated fuel, I don't think octanium or octane in general would have made any real impact, it was running max timing for the given tune.

Yes and regretting it. Bulging quite badly and not making full contact patch, I think I would have seen same traction results with the 285 tire.

I used to run a MT ET Street II 305 width tire on a 20x9.5 tire and it barely bulged at all. The new MT Street SS run wide contact patches versus the same size ET Street II, I didn't study sizing enough.

I hate bias ply, I am sure at some point I will succumb to running them, but for now I want to try a 305/45/18 ET street R setup. The walk at the top end of the track is just too much for my liking.
If you don't already have 18" wheels to use, go to a 17" wheel.

With the tire I plan to run, the MT ET Street R radial, the difference of the 17 vs 18" tire is overall diameter only, the sidewalls are identical in height. Given I have 3.73 gears, I figured a 29" tire vs a 28" would do me better.

305/45/17
305/45/18

Is there another reason I should avoid the 18"?
