Something I immediately noticed about my 2017 was that when backing up, the lighting absolutely sucked! When backing into my driveway/garage I actually lightly hit the brake pedal enough to activate the brake lights just so I can see.

After viewing this video from CJ's and seeing just how simple it is to replace the bulb to brighten things up, this is a no brainer. But I know there's always more than one option. In this case I want the brightest and best one.

What bulb did you go with?

Thanks!! :)

I have a diode dynamics LED in there (not sure which one - almost 3 years). Sucker is damn bright.

Is this plug and play or will it require some modification?

wait, I just read that you have not received your mustang in the mail :frusty:
They are plug and play. There are reviews and pictures on Amazon from Mustang owners. LED bulbs are usually always plug and play unless you are changing a halogen to LED for a brake light. Doing that, you would typically need to use resistors.

I've actually consider this option: a bit more pricey but the multi-mode/multi-color setup is slick (running, brake red, then bright white in reverse).

I agree, definitely slick. However, I'm not sure I like the look of it as a 4th brake light that's also a running light. Makes the car look like it has it tongue sticking out which some might consider an added bonus but again, not as sharp looking for me as just the tri-bars.

Seems like the diode dynamics is definitely the popular choice so far.

Thanks for the replies! Please keep them coming.
