When will we see the new GT500?

This has been on the Ford site since the 2014 GT500. You can also find a 2017 Boss 302 in the code too (search for "site:ford.com 2017 boss 302"). There was another thread about the same thing when the 2016 model was new, since you could find the "2016 GT500" at the time.

On the deeper 2017 GT500 pages (specs page, safety page, etc.), the details are the same as the 2014 GT500, and still references the 2014 model year (albeit, the page is titled as 2017 GT500). The same is true for the 2017 Boss 302 pages, which has 2013 Boss 302 references with a 2017 page title.

Why is Ford dragging this car so long? It's not like they had never made a GT500 before. There is certainly market for high performance car, especially if it is TT.

Right now every ZL1 or Hellcat is made, it's gone the same day, an we have not even a solid verification that Ford is coming out with GT500.

You'll want to spend your money on this next one...not called a GT500...you will like the name...the Mach 1 is a separate model.

The more i think about it the more it makes sense to me that Ford needs to release something soon.

They already have the platform....Think about this....

The next GT500 will probably will have the GT350 body and suspension.
That leaves the engine....Which they already have... The 5.0 coyote. Most likely they will be going twin turbo, which they also already mass producing too.
The Transmission., you guys already know about the 10 speed, which is no secret.

Put it all together, test it and BOOM GT500. They have already been testing something for over a year.

This NEEDS to be sooner rather than later, That ZL1 is tempting

I don't see Ford walking away from the Shelby name with the built in marketing power it has!

So there could be be 2 separate special-edition models...a Cobra something and a Mach 1?
Still believe GT500 will be S650 based.

GT4 would be cool kind of a Fresh start so their is no expectation of what it should look like, no heritage to follow!
