Where are your siblings?
My sister and her husband helped a lot, but now his 96 year old aunt is living with them, so they're on deck at their place.

I’ve never understood comments like this. “No glory” or “just a bachelors” or “I’m just a...”

Do you work hard? Do you provide for yourself and your family? GOOD FOR YOU. That’s more glory than most people.

I'm a Facilities Engineer, I work in a hospital. We do plenty or rinky dink stuff in the buildings but air conditioning and refrigeration is where the fun is at.

Well, maybe I need to enlighten you a bit. Being a rock guitarist, doing custom work on cars at my home garage, building solid body electric guitars, brewing incredible homebrew and so on...all are things that allow me to be creative. My main job is just a real pain in the ass most of the time and always has been. I'm good at it and that doesn't make me like it even though the money and demand for the work is good. In other words, I get satisfaction from doing creative things, not repairing equipment that idiots tear up and don't even own. I will say that I show up with a good attitude and treat people very well, but it's a tough business.

ahl395, I work on pretty much all brands, mainly Hyster, Crown, Yale Raymond, Toyota, Landoll/Bendi, Clark, Nissan, and the list goes on.

Agreed. Not to mention the COUNTLESS action movies I've seen about electric forklift technicians!

48 but most people think I could pass for 46 1/2.

I work in IT. I don't love it...that's for sure. Most of the time I barely even like it. And I'm not good at it either..just good enough to get by as a grunt. Started 20yrs ago But the $ is good and I work from home.

I quit doing stand-up comedy in my mid-20s. I regret it now b/c being funny is my only talent in life (besides being a good athlete). If I stuck with comedy who knows? Sure there's a good chance I wouldn't have a Mustang GT right now but maybe a nicely used Accent GT..
