Curious what others have done with their S550 OEM exhaust for those that have an aftermarket exhaust system. I have been storing mine OEM exhaust in the garage for five years, but I'm tired of it taking up space. There doesn't seem to much of a local market for it (Western Washington State).

Offer it up for free to anyone looking to return to stock. Or junk yard / trash.

Thanks Kermitz. We have a metal recycling plant near us and I could take it there and probably get a few bucks for it but I hate to discard something that someone else could use. I've advertised it locally for free so we'll see if I find any takers.

Offered it up for free and a local came and picked it up since he hated the exhaust that was on the car when he bought it.

I took mine to the local metal recycler. Got about $10 for it.

Sold mine to a V6 owner. He said it is an upgrade for V6 owners. Better sound and nicer exhaust tips. Was happy to get rid of it.

I strapped mine to the ceiling of my garage. Takes up no space and if I ever want to go back to stock.....no problem. I have kept all my OEM parts... steering wheel, springs, exhaust, front signal lights, shift knob, all my under hood fluid caps. I even bought extra engine covers to paint, so I could keep my originals.

Call me weird, don’t care. I also have my window sticker, build list, original special order docs..... etc

For me I still have my shocks/struts and even my GT/CS wheels, but I keep cars long and at one point it will depreciate so much that it would cost more to return to stock than sell the car as is. I had a performance suspension on and magnaflow cat back on my Ford Fusion Sport and I sold it to the dealer at a decent value and did not affect anything nor did they question of any aftermarket stuff. All they saw was a Fusion still with OEM wheels and slightly lowered and thought it was all normal. I scrapped the Fusion exhaust since it was near useless as well.
