next up sw headers and walker 41976 slip on pipe to delete the cats.
"this guy" I see you're in NY. How do you plan on passing emissions testing? I'm due and this will be first time with a procharger (bought used, so...., but stock exhaust).

(Last night) I learnt a few lessons ...

  • Getting it a little loose coming out of a junction isn't the wisest of ideas when there's a LEO three cars back
  • Stopping quickly, being polite and honest probably does you a lot of favours in these kinds of situations.
  • Sitting in the back of a police car is a bit humbling, and took me back to my late teens / early twenties / Cosworth era.
  • Some LEO's are actually pretty cool, and have a bit of a thing for nice cars (Stangs are rare over here) :sunglasses:

All my details checked out so it all turned good in the end - there was no mention of noise (track mode & H pipe - stangs are too loud for a UK public road even when they are standard), or my missing front plate.

Funniest thing was when I got out of the back of the police car (lights still flashing), two women walking past paid the stang some nice compliments :inlove:

I will take that as a win, and go buy a weekend lottery ticket ...

WD :like:

Won 1st place my class 2020 - 24 daily driven Mustang , I heard a guy say last year cars need to be spotless to win ,only won 3rd place last two years with a 2017 GT and this one. Spent five hours Friday repairing rock chips ,cleaned the engine bay then wiped and brushed it down with tire shine, scrubbed the fender wells and inside the rims I could reach. Took out everything from the trunk vacuumed along with interior and detailed. it I was also first time judge it was tough , lots of nice Fords from Model A's to GT 500's and many others . Show was put on by my club Rocket City Mustang Club Huntsville AL

Got around to installing my APR wing, (only took me two years). However I did not want to drill into my perfect OEM deck lid, so I bought a used deck lid, drilled, sanded, smoothed and painted (four coats of base RC, 3 coats of RC Pearl and 4 coats of clear), All on my own, mind you. Now if I get tired of the wing I can sell it and go back to my old set up without extra holes in the deck lid.,

Royal Crimson is such a cool color. Would be nice if they bring it back at some point. Wing looks good

About a week ago, but finally got around to posting about it. Put in my new Steeda steering wheel. So far I'm loving it. Great feel and a huge upgrade from stock in my opinion.

Added something that the V6 S550 should have had as an option…the PP1 option.

I drove it to pick up my wife and new addition. We had a son on Friday and like my daughter I figured his first car ride should be special! So the family crammed into the mustang for the ride home from the hospital. We have another mustang fan in the family!

Woke up Friday to a left front tire with only 7lbs of pressure in it. Had a golf tournament to get to. Fired up the compressor, and filled it to 35ish and grabbed my portable battery powered one in the trunk because I knew it was going to go down while I was on the course. When I got finished it was down to 10.5 psi. I blew the tire up and headed to my mechanics shop because he had my D5's with my new Nitto G555RII's for the back and D5 9inch wides for the front. When we got it on the rack he sprayed the wheel down. This is what happened-

Mind you, these wheels were 4 weeks old that day. American Muscle, cheap junk, but they were the closest match to my discontinued KMC's that I cracked 3 of over the last couple of years. 4 of the spokes on the drivers side were cracked at the barrel, and 3 on the passenger side.

So I have these now....I need to have a serious conversation with American Muscle about those rims.

Wow I have never seen a wheel leak at a spoke joint like that! In fact I'm having a hard time trying to imagine what the inside looks like.
