We installed a front tow hook, passenger side oil separator, changed the oil & filter, installed jacking rails, and bled the brakes.

How was it getting the front end cover off that? Seems like a lot of work. Any drama or just time? Looks like you got it back together perfectly. I have to replace the lower grill and apparently there's no way to do it except taking the whole face off.

Think he meant what happened to cause a new rear window to get installed?
I’m the third owner in just 4,800 miles. The window some how developed light yellow spots on it that no matter what i or a detailer used could remove them. So it had to go. You had to get close to see them, most people wouldn’t notice but I did every time I looked at it.

In my opinion it’s not that big of a deal. Sure it is easier if you have a lift and can get it off ground more, and 2 people make it easier getting the bumper cover on & off.
I’m thinking that CJ Pony Parts has a helpful video explaining how to do it.

This is the video I watched before I did mine. I would assume the GT and GT350 are pretty similar. The only difference might be the bolts that holds the bumper to the fender. Ford changed those on the 2018+ GT/Eco with the facelift. They were a little different and prone to breaking on the 15-17’s.

My son (15) helped me with mine. 2 pairs of hands is better IMO for lifting it off the guide pins and putting it back on. Pretty straightforward otherwise, just takes some time and a little patience. But the CJPP video is dead on accurate assuming the GT350 bumper attachments are similar.

What LSP are you (or did you) put on top of it?
The car has been sitting all winter, just uncovered it. The finish was already really clean. The only thing I used was Koch Chemie P1.01 with a Rupes white ultra fine pad. Koch Chemie rates the polish at 9.5 gloss. Tomorrow I’ll probably use Koch Chemie Wax W0 01 which is rated at 9.9 gloss and also makes it VERY slick.

Had mine off a number of times. The bumper to fender bolts are always a pain because the wheel well liners are much stiffer on the Shelby's than the regular GT's, V6's, and Ecoboosts.

It works best if you remove the entire undertray with the bumper too. In total you've probably got 12-16 bolts total holding the whole thing on that way.

Putting it back on is pretty easy. Nice to have two hands though to help feed the brake ducts back through their little locations while you have to get front bumper in the right spot over top of the front mounts.

I didn't know that Ford painted the structural bumper to match the paint... but why didn't they paint the entire structural bumper, but left an unpainted section in the center?

Curious minds want to know...????

It's not unpainted. That's part of the plastic ducting for the radiator and what the foam inside the bumper cover sits against. This angle shows it better.

Well, finally got the insurance put back on the Shelby as of April 7th. Removed the Wheel Dollies and repositioned the car to back out of the garage.
Decided to take her for a quick drive just to warm the car up. Once back at the garage I did an ONR cleanup, removing the light coating of dust that had collected over the winter. I'm still amazed at how well this product works and how simple it is to apply in any weather.

Decided to go on a dual personality drive - feels like every time I take her out, I’m all over her. Wanted to change it up…spent first half of drive on some windy back roads, pushing, and it was as glorious as ever. Then hit a nice long stretch of road on a peninsula near me with water on both sides, 30 mph speed limit, valves closed, comfort steering, normal suspension, and radio on…20 mins of low key relaxed driving. I must admit, this car gets an A+ in the dual personality department. That’s a really hard feat to achieve and was nice to have my first low key drive in her. This thing is magic…
Couldn't have said it better myself. One of my favorites things about this car.
