CarPro Eraser works great. Nice Write-up:

Next time you wax, use painters blue tape to tape up all your trim you do not want to hit with the buffer and turn it white. A little prep goes a long way. The people in my house avoid eye contact and in general me when I'm in detail mode. I like to get help taping the cars up getting ready to use the buffers. Once the tape is on, I can then move quick and not be so careful with the edges. I like that freedom.

Mothers back to black takes it right off. Decent protector, great remover. I use it to get wax off the black wrinkle case on my motorcycle too. I think every car I buy seems a bit less susceptible to staining from waxy stuff. Could be my imagination?

Now that I've had my skirts clean from wax about 3 weeks I used Mothers Back to Black too and thoroughly endorse it.
Easy to apply with the small brush supplied, the key seems to be to do small areas and wipe the surface clean before the gel dries.
The skirts look better than new

Happy Detailing

Use tape when you wax. Always. +1 to the pencil Erasor. I like that trick too.

But really. Tape. Buy a lot of it. Use it.

I've had the same problem. Then I went the tape route, but soon got tired of doing that. Learned to be more careful. So then I went with the old toothbrush scrubbing spot removal & going over the area with a decent protector, Mothers Protectant is perfect.
Also found that whatever tire dressing you are using, it seems to work just fine on hard exterior black plastics.

I use turtle wax ice paste on and near black trim then duragloss 105 on the rest of car. The ice gives protection and is clear.
