I can vouch for the DOHC V6 in the '16 ATS. Absolutely magnificent, pulls hard all the way through to 7 grand.

And this is the one in the '16 Camaro V6? Interesting because Eco drove it and wasn't impressive in the V6 Camaro with the power/throttle.

Don't forget, mpg is also affected by vehicle weight, aero/drag, gear ratios, etc...many ways to achieve good mileage that have nothing to do with an engine.

You forgot to include the amount of lead in the driver's right foot! I often beat the EPA numbers for my MINI, but it lives above 9,000 ft, so I guess aero (or lack of air) comes into play!
