I have seen in the past a head swap being done to a 2.3 SVO engine from the fox, got a twin cam volvo 740/940 head. Has anyone compared the head gaskets, or have any measurements for the bore-spacing. Im hoping its not even close, so I can stop researching it. lol.

If you want to say its dumb, or waste of time/money, please dont comment. I'm not even saying I would do it, but curious if it could be.

Two links below if you want to read up on some wacky backyard engineering.

nevermind, I kinda forgot about the DI system, that might be hard to retrofit to a port injected head. that might be a bit harder.

I'd agree that would be bit harder :)

Its not even close-

The only head swap I know of that takes as much modifying as that old 2.3 Folvo- use the 2.0L head for the N/A Evoque. You will have individual exhaust ports for custom turbo manifold. It requires lots of modification, but if you are up for the challenge.

Yea I found a couple euro heads on there also. I wanna know if the car sounds any different running an individual port head and manifold.

i think it would. I know its a big wtf "why", turbo delete, itb's and high-compression, increase the bore, cams, with direct injection with the factory management, could be pretty unique. It would only make sense if you could get 315hp/315tq, but I dont think that torque number would be attainable naturally aspirated...

I would still run a turbo with that head.. Itbs would be nice with an open plenum, like an rb26 setup.

It would be nice to hear an individual port head turbo running.
