VMP or Roush air box lid

yea it does make more power with it off.

i run lid off i bought the water proof cover for the air filter.. works like a charm

The car will make more power on the dyno, with the hood open and a fan running. If you are in the heat the car will make less power as the IAT will be much higher. The lid is to prevent heat soak, not keep water/dirt out.

Without the lid the filter will get soaked. The lid was designed to be like an oem system meaning it had to adhear to certain specs. There were several reasons.

i noticed no change in iat with the lid off or on in traffic they still get high when its hot out ..only diff i did notice is soon as i start driving the temps come down alot faster with the lid off then on...
and if you get the filter water proof cover like i did the filter doesn't get a drop of water on it i bought a k&n only cause it was blue.. match my car color

Does anyone know the part number for the waterproof cover wrap that I will need? There is a ton of choices on the K&N website.

i forget what one i got it was a bit ago.. guess look up the roush filter replacement then go from there measurement wise
