Went on confused.com again to get another quote based on a 2015 Ford(US) Mustang GT but kept it as RHD and not an import which came out as £875.
I then based my quote on a new Boxter S priced at £50k because someone mentioned on here about a dealer basing it on that car and it came out as £667.
As long as my real quote is between those quotes I will be happy :)

On the Ford UK Mustang config page you can request an insurance quote in the "next steps" options.

Anyone done this?

I'd do it myself, but suspect after 15mins of entering details, there will be a "sorry we can't....." message.

Guys, looks like the RHD Mustang is now up on MoneySuperMarket...
Doesn't mean all the insurers they check on have it though, and by the looks of it they don't. Quick check returned 1 insurer who wants £965 a year with a £3000 compulsory excess.:lol::lol:

well that was a waste of time lol, got 1 result back - 1! £1500 for the ecoboost.

Went back to admiral again & it has gone up a bit since I tried last (now £860). Interestingly they now have the GT, and even more interestingly that only pushed my quote up by £50. WTF?

Same here! although i got that for a GT. If they stay at that price mine will be staying in a showroom!

What a joke as I got £1492 from 1 of 1 insurer lol.

Let's hope once the other companies start adding their prices, they come tumbling down to a reasonable number. I can insure a £50000 Boxster S for £667.....

Admiral quoted me £868 for the GT and that's only because I added my wife to the policy that brought it down by £200!! I was with them for years with my old car so I will see if they will do a deal over the phone.

Try compare the market. they have it on there now too and the price i got IMO is realistic.

Yeah with a 3000 excess lol

Mine was £1200 from one insurer.

I was told ford would be keen to offer insurance to us on them as well so will be another option.

They still have the old information, it's not been updated for the 2015 as there is no manual option etc.

Got a quote from Compare the Market for £237, protected NCD and £450 total excess however despite it being for a 2015 Mustang, 4950cc @ £36k i'm 99% certain its not the right car.

Can dream though, eh? ;)

That would be a very nice quote but unfortunately they are not the right cars on their website

Admiral have both the GT and the EB with manual and auto options on it now. My first attempt gave me a premium of £390 for fully comp.
