Seemingly some cars get pulled from production for extended test drives/quality checking but this should be noted in the car or on the accompanying paperwork or something. Sorry for being vague but i read this on a thread elsewhere on the forum...

It's been awhile since I worked at a Ford Dealer , but in the US spec cars back in the day (5+ years ago) usually had an additional half sheet of paper taped next to the window sticker or the quarter glass stating that the car was randomly pulled for QC road test and that there would be an additional 17 miles on the odo.
the sheet usually was a plain white sheet with black dot-matrix printed information(stating it was driven 17mi) including the VIN at the top and a blue Ford oval and Deaborn,MI printed in blue on the bottom
not sure if it is different for overseas delivery or not.

Side note:
I cannot remember there being any "test drive" as part of a PDI inspection. Ever
And I've done hundreds of PDI inspections.
again... I worked at US dealer... but this should be the same at every Ford dealer I assume.

I forgot to check until I got a mile or so from the dealership! It said 16 at that point, should would have been around 15 when picked up

20 here, they did bring it from their marshalling yard about 10 miles away, if not a tad more.

I wouldn't be worried about the 20 extra miles on the clock, it's more how the car was driven for those 20 miles.

second that......been told by my dealer that when the car arrives and when the car goes in for a service that only the service manager and head mechanic will be allowed to drive any mustangs that come through their dealership...........AYE RIGHT

Just go into track apps and check the accelerometer when you pick it up? They probably would forget to reset this and records most extreme forces applied to the car. I guess the mileage is not important, it is how hard it is driven, right? I'll reset mine and drive normally and let you know what the figures say, I guess anything over 0.25 is pushing on, over 0.5 unnecessary?
