Considering how deep 1st gear is on the 10r80 vs the 6r80, yes.

3.15s would be fine and allow for one less shift vs, say 3.73’s in the 1/4 mi.

Although more gear might allow for using the stock converter depending on what kind of ET you are chasing.

Lots of things to think about when considering rear gears.
