It is just about as expected, isnt it? i think i remember seeing the prices for non R tires and it was about $350 per tire, so that gives you an idea of what was coming.

I figured they'd be around the price of z/28 tires which is pricy for me but not for some.

I cant find the thread right now but it was $350 per tire on the non R, right? I consider that pricey enough!

GT350 is in AS, GT350R is in SS
You spoiled my gif fun.

Good to know! There's a local [very] fast guy in a 996 GT3 that always cleans up in SS. A wheel in a GT350R would probably give it a good fight.

I'm thnking of Forgestars at 19x11" all around.... then a square setup if possible for the tire sizes.
They have 325/30 NT01s now...might be nice in a square setup

I think either way I most will have to go down in diameter since the factory size is sort of odd. Anyone know if modern ODOs still take into account tire diameter? I dont want to rack up extra miles on the clock going with a smaller tire

I bet my TE37SLs would clear. They clear the 380mm Brembos on M3s *shrug*
Except these are 394mm brembos with a monoblock 6 pot caliper, how much barrel clearance with those?

That's a rotor size. Not the caliper
Indeed, so a 394mm rotor at a minimum will push the caliper out 7mm radially and if its a larger caliper that eats into the barrel clearance even more

Indeed. The TE37SL clears a 380mm aftermarket Brembo rotor + 6pot caliper (and will clear the 8pot varieties out there too). Highly likely it sticks out just as far as an oem-spec 390mm.

Besides the TE37SL is available in 19" as well and gains maybe 1lb of weight from it. Not sure why you're arguing here.

Very simple, you made a "bet" that your 18" wheel will likely fit, just because it fits a 380mm kit, I'm saying most should not take that bet considering the GT350 has 394mm rotors and large monoblock calipers. You understand how the caliper is pushed out radially in order to contact the rotor surface, right? That will directly impact clearance to the inner barrel of the rim
