I'm thinking to buy an aftermarket t-body but can't seem to find options for our V6 expect BBK 1822, do the throttle bodies of the GT fit on the V6? As the GT has more options in the market.

Thanks.

What exactly is porting the intake manifold? Is it just opening them up more or is it smoothing out the insides of the plastic? I'm unfamiliar with what can be done to these plasting intakes.

I had a Max Extrude Honed intake manifold on my Cougar, which really helped when paired with an SVT lower intake manifold and SVT throttle body. Amazing what an extra 10mm did.

Its the lower and upper intake mani, the part the plastic goes to is what gets ported not the plastic.

So is the BBK,TB a good bang for the buck? Many reviews from different parts suppliers show good improvement? Curious are people after spending 4-5 hundred bucks not always telling the truth?

Youd be far better off getting a sct x4 and a MPT tune if you dont already have it

While I am normally about bigger throttle bodies I think our 67mm units are the sweet spot. While I have heard claims of "throttle response", I have yet to see any gains (whether that be from 1/4 mile traps or dynos) from running any increased throttle body size. I have even read threads of individuals using the 5.0L Coyote 80mm TB (requires modification to get it to work) unit with no gains even with ported manifolds etc. Besides 67mm is far from "small". For $400 and other owner's testing/findings I am not sold. For a while I was toying around with using a Mazda 3.7 unit (72mm) from a CX7/9 until I found out Mazda's throttle body pinout/ programing does not work with Fords. There's better mods you can be doing such as 170* degree t-stat (**needs a tune so fans can be adjusted for the new 170* unit) and 93 OCT tune. Whichever tune you get be sure to datalog to get the most out of your setup and most importantly ensure safety.

What's the best brand for the 170 degree t-stat?
