Glad to hear she's back Gibbo...

Am I reading that right - they think that the mirror needs to be removed to change the puddle light? I can tell you for a fact it doesn't! Get them to send you the part and DIY, literally a 30 second job.
Told them this. But trying to explain things to them is like :frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty:

 so now they are making up their knowledge.

You should ask them to show you why the mirror needs to come off...just for a laugh

If its by town then Wilmslow should be awesome if they are remotely as good as the Porsche dealer there, haha.

I cannot believe my car is still covered in oil underneath.

My mates owns a ramp, he has agreed to let me take the car over now to attack it with some brake cleaner and get everything cleaned up properly because it will only take 5-10 minutes and a lot of brake cleaner spraying. Why Ford did not do this?
maybe they left the oil on to make up for the lack of underseal? ;)

I don't know what to say needless I am stressed beyond belief, it is weeping from the gasket, so they either never fitted a new gasket or they fitted it wrong or it was damaged in transit.

Had it up on ramp, could visible see it bubble when engine loaded, dip stick is still on maximum so its minor leak right now, brake cleaner the entire under-side, so its definetely fresh oil, gonna keep an eye on oil level and re-visit ramp again tomorrow to see how much it is kicking out.

But I simply do not wish to take it back to Ford, can I legally have it inspected by another specialist get them to say what is required and do the work and they then bill Ford?

All confidence is lost, how come I can I see it is leaking but they cannot, all they would of needed to do would be thoroughly clean the underside, have the car running in the air and it can be clearly seen there is an oil weep.

Seriously INCOMPETENCE I am gobsmacked !!

What can I do, I seriously do not intend on re-visiting Ford because all confidence is loss, they seem to have less knowledge on repairing and servicing cars than myself. :(

New car warranty with Ford is absolutely pointless, they should offer the car ÂŁ2000 cheaper with zero warranty, because I would take that option!!!!

No way! That's so shit. Sorry to hear that mate. Sensible head on. Just pay out of pocket to get it sorted and then go for a legal battle? I don't know what you can or cannot get out of it but just get it fixed yourself for peace of mind.
Agreed

Car looks fantastic and very enjoyable read. Done quite a few of the same mods. Just got through all 22 pages and seriously disappointed for you. Sorry to hear about your woes. Can't wait till you have it sorted and all the hoarded parts put on. All of this will just be a sad memory soon. keep your chin up mate.

Gonna buy new oil cooler, gasket and adapter, so changing the entire lot from USA and get a garage I trust to do work.

Will speak with Ford and dealership tomorrow to see what they are willing to do, already raised hell on Ford and the dealerships FB page. Not being quiet, calm or patient this time.

Why not give Modurstang a ring? They'd sort it out.

Problem is it'll cost you, which is bullshit when you've got it under warranty.
