Awesome thread. I was thinking the same thing about 6th gear. I have read that some people don't like it, but I nearly always downshift to pass on the highway anyway, so I'm suspecting I'll be fine with it.

Drive safe and keep the candid shots and feedback coming.

I kinda like the blue tape look. It is almost Grabber Blue. How long did it take you to tape the car for the trip? I'm going to have to do the same when I pick mine up in the mid west and drive it back to CA. Safe travels.

Ran into some weather last night, it rained, snowed and blow like a m@ther between the Utah-Nevada border all the way to Reno.

Happy to report that Weather mode is brilliant.....I would NEVER drive that stretch of road in my old C5, under the same condition.

Will post more tonight. Now I gotta go loose some money :headbonk:

Were you guys not able to find a local dealer to do a courtesy delivery, or just finding an excuse for a vacation/long drive?

Hello Havoc. Did you make it back to the Bay Area OK. You must be either back to work or still basking in the joy of driving the car. Let us know how you and the car survived the trip.

Hopefully that just means he's loving it so much he has nothing to complain about and is out driving all these great roads!
