With this cold air design with the filter behind the front bumper, fender area, is it exposed to any direct airflow?

I'm not quite sure, it is right there where the stock intake pulls its air in behind the grill but I need to get down with a flashlight so see if you can actually see the filter through the holes. It may also depend on what grill you have. I haven't seen the standard EB grill up close but I know mine has holes on the right side like the GT

Which intake do you guys think makes the BOV sound the best without having to vent to atmosphere? I think the MMR makes the BOV sound the loudest without venting out, but I could be wrong.

Just installed/drove the car with map CAI, or dp and exhaust and the CAI is pretty loud and wow, can you hear the Bov!

I think all of the open filter ones probably make the same amount of bov noise. My Mishimoto is definitely loud

You can definitely hear it on the MAP CAI!!

most of the intakes are going to be similar in sound levels for hearing the turbo and bpv recirculating.

Yes the bov is very noticeable now and the intake is hardly noticeable being wrinkle black. Got it this morning and installed it at work, pleasure of working at an auto parts store ha. Also did muffler deletes with black tips which really look stock but altogether sounds amazing. I'll have videos soon of both intake and exhaust sounds.

so about the whole mounted to engine vs mounted to fender discussion, what are the drawbacks of fender mounting? Sorry if i missed the answer to this, i have read all the pages of this thread and multiple other threads but i dont think i saw the answer, or i missed it if i did.
