Where are you guys storing your gun in the car or what lock safe are you all using?

I'm trying to figure what would work best.

Had a great range day Saturday, the line up was:

- Remington 1903A3
- SA M1 Garand 1943
- SA M1 Garand 1945
- AR-15 Dissipator build
- Rossi M92 .357
- S&W Model 10
- M1 Carbine

The was my first time shooting the 03 and M92, so those were my heaviest shooters.

Started with getting the 03 sighted in (as best I could) @ 150 yards. The lowest range interval for elevation is 200 yards, so it shot a bit high. I had a few obvious pulls that sent some fliers off target and had to make a few windage adjustments to get it close. Not too bad I think for irons, probably wouldn't win any matches though. I think I fired more rounds through it that day than had ever been through it in its life time. Kind of bittersweet for the collector in me, but this rifle was made to be shot, not drooled over while it sits and acts a decoration.

Hitting a 200 and 300 yard steel silhouette with the 03 was a joke. I'm looking forward to shooting something over a greater distance in the future.

I had hoped to sight in my 1943 M1 after changing the rear sight parts, but it was ejecting loaded clips of ammo after each shot, so I need to replace the clip ejector spring before I can shoot that again.

The 1945 M1 was hitting the 200 yard target every time and I managed a few hits on the 300 yard target from a standing, unsupported position. No adjustments needed.

The firing pin tip on the AR15 broke after about 4 shots (a shame because I wanted to see how it would fair against the 03). This reminded me why I sold my other AR15. Lowest bid shit, TBH. Aim Surplus is sending me a new FP under warranty, but I don't see myself shooting that rifle too much, at least not while I can still afford .30-06.

The little Rossi M92 lever action was my favorite (besides the 03). All of us took turns shooting it and no one had any issues, it reliably cycled at least 200 rounds of .38spl FMJ. A dueling tree was set up at 15 yards which made for some fun cowboy action-type shooting. I was able to get a few hits on the 200 yard plate by aligning the front sight post with the very top of the rear buck-horn sight. Next time I'll bring some .357 to see how it really does at range.

The M1 carbine did well at 200 yards once you got the hold correct, definitely doesn't swing the plate like the Garand or 03 do, but it's definitely within effective wounding range. I didn't try it at 300 yards but will next time. Had some stove pipe issues that are most likely related to gas piston dirtiness or ejector/extractor springs.

The red/orange plate is 200 yards, paper on left is at 150, the white man is 300 yards.

I just got a RAS47 a few weeks ago that I throw in the backseat. Any fellow RAS owners?

Still waiting for a local shop to get in more shipments of G43 LEO models. Can't beat $379 for a new one!
Agreed. I just ordered one through my local Blue Label dealer for a G43 w/ Night Sights $430. Should be in next week, I'm stoked lol.

Picked up my G43 about 10 days ago and finally shot it last week. Was double and triple tapping holes at 20 feet...damn this thing is accurate lol. And, its much more comfortable to carry than my Kimber.

Vert turbo!!!!
Decided to take my guns out... G19 is new. Man does that thing shoot like a dream. 2 inch groupings from 20 ft. Also shot my 442 the first time and 357.

I need to practice a lot more with the 38 and 357 since they are my first revolvers. And of course I took my old glock 40 cal... it is going to be retired now. Moving on and up to the G19. Yes, I actually have two G19 magazines and two G17 mags... got the g17 mags since they hold more and will fit the g19. Made sense to me. :D

Will keep working on the 38 as my backup. Might pickup a g43 or g26 for that job though. Will practice and see what the summer looks like. The 38 is easy to carry.

The case is for long distance travel in the car. Case will be retired next week. Purchased a G.P.S. Handgunner Backpack (see below my current case)... looks nice IMO. I needed carry case that fit as a range bag. The range I joined has small lanes and I'm not guarranted an end lane all the time. Taking a bunch of cases is out. Hopefully the backpack hooks me up. Case you see below will be gutted and used for ammo storage at home.
