So I'm thinking about having my 20" Foundry wheels widened in the back vs buying new wheels. My concern is that this might hurt me if/when I trade it in for a GT500 later? Anyone know how dealers look at that stuff?

Thanks all,

Joe

It's a Mustang. The resale value is always shitty. When then again if you can afford a GT500, you probably don't care about the depreciation.

99% of the dealers won't even notice. Don't ask don't tell doesn't just apply to the military.

Thanks guys. I was just really curious about it. Don't want to take some huge loss that I wasn't expecting. Could end up selling it privately and it could end up being a benefit to have them widened. Anyway. Thanks again. I feel better about the decision now.

It will look the same unless you look at them from the back. Widening it won't change offset. You need spacers to make it sit flush.

That is what I am wanting to see. I already have spacers.

I was just talking to my uncle about this and I didn't realize it was a thing... Might have considered this if I hadn't pulled the trigger on the wheels I have coming in now. Love the stock 20" foundry wheels more than any other wheel on the market.

Where are you having it done and how much does it cost? I'm assuming it is just as reliable as the stock rim?

depending on who does it yes it can be a reliable option, weldcraft does a damn good job at widening wheels.

I can imagine they will be pretty heavy after being widened.
