I realized while driving that the shift knob in my GT350 is loose. I could turn it a little bit, like 1/8 of a turn.

Does anyone have the same issue? Or is it just my car? Is it going to be a big problem?

Mine isn't loose. They just didn't get yours tight during assembly. You should be able to take it to the dealer or just tighten it yourself.

Mine is tight - though I drove my 2013 Boss 302 last night and remembered how much I love that cue ball shift knob! Thinking about making a change. If you happen to need to remove your shift knob do you mind letting us know the details? If I remember correctly the Boss 302 shift knobs took a bit of brute force to remove.

Taking off the Boss 302 knob was a terrible experience. Yeah, red loctite those things on there Ford. That's what's needed.

The shift knob in my '13 BOSS came off while driving. It was a bit of a scare for half a second. Dealer replaced the whole shift mechanism. Would not let me keep parts. I hoped that the engineering team reviewed the issue but if someone else saw it in a newer model then perhaps we need a little assembly tolerancing refresher for the six sigma engineers at ford. Look up Dan Whitney from MIT. Professor emeritus who wrote the book on assemblies. 40 years there and now works with my engineering team. Bummed that happened to someone else too

I had the same issue, a quarter turn loose in both directions. I backed it off one turn and it actually tightened up. It's still good. Hopefully it'll work for you too.

Thank you! I will try that tomorrow. I didn't dare to turn it...
