The shift knob in my '13 BOSS came off while driving. It was a bit of a scare for half a second. Dealer replaced the whole shift mechanism. Would not let me keep parts. I hoped that the engineering team reviewed the issue but if someone else saw it in a newer model then perhaps we need a...
I got one last week. Annoying that it was sealed in a small bag with a cobra label. The cobra got ripped when I opened it as I wasn't being careful.
Most annoying, and though I very much appreciate 5 minutes of watching me drive, there was only in-car footage and no track view of my ride...
This is what I overheard from the marketing rep at the lime rock track tour. He plainly said they had a z/28 and the r was faster, but not the non-r.
Driver, tires, conditions unknown so take it for what it's worth. Little
Bimmer fan boys have been salivating over the M2 for a very long time. Go checkout carscoops.com. There were postings every few weeks for months about development and initial camouflaged testing of the M2. You like many of us are just so focused on updates and details.
Great cause. Given the momentum and history of charity auctions at places like Barrett-Jackson...what's the estimate !?!
I'll open with $400k

Someone (or all of you) help check but I recall reading something about the GT350 that allows the driver to switch exhaustive and engine settings via a switch/menu. When I read it I figure that Ford just integrated the TK software into the car. Recall that TK was marketed as a post purchase...
There should be zero though about mpg with this car unless you are worried about how many laps you can do before buying the expensive track gas.
For reference I can't get over 13.4pg into B302 using track key. I could care less.
If it's a burden for the fuel do not buy the car. If...
I met Chris b (qualified 15th in a BOSS 302) during a 13 hour flight to china. We watched a lot of track videos and traded BOSS stories and facts.
Good to actually meet one of the drivers.

Of course the v8 is going away. Slowly. It'll stay in mustangs for years but as with almost all other car models the v8 will be pushed ever higher in the model range. Until, what I feel I marketing genius from ford, they swoop in with the TT V6 from the GT. After all what bragging rights...
526HP and 429 TQ!
Anyone canceling their order?....didn't think so
If there were an option package on my BOSS to add IRS, 82HP and 49 TQ for $3500 F-yeah I would have checked that box.
Well done Ford!
Figure they will do a "first look" which typically includes a drive but no instrumented testing. It's enough to gain some good press and saves the reveal of some key specs. Them comes the solo runs with performer numbers. Finally, the comparison testing.
Figure: first look in aug...
Agree. High demand early and by year 2 or 3 below MSRP and possibly small incentives. Newer things will come out and the buzz will be down. On a positive note, by year 2 or 3 I would anticipate options enhamcements along with a small power bump
If tracking don't get the automatic. Look into it. Even the corvette chief engineer has gone on record citing a limp mode issue due to overheating of the automatic on successive laps. Cited issue at ambient temps over 86F.
