I know this is primarily a US-centric thread, but just wanted to highlight the difference that the Yokohana A052 tyre made for me. I've been running on Cup 2 for half of last season, failing to improve over my Federal 595 RS-PRO time. This season I'd fit The Yoko, and already improved around 4 seconds. It probably has overall less grip than the Cup2, but I love the way it communicates grip and how easy it is to dial back.
Great Driving. I need to try and come run with you someday. Also need to try A052 as I'm hearing is faster than the AR-1's as well.

This is actually currently the best Mustang time at this track.
So my previous PBT was 1:56.560 on Federal 595 RS-PRO. Then on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 I only did 1:57.840. I'm not saying all those differences are down to the tires, but it maybe is worth pointing out that something like Cup 2 does not automatically guarantee faster lap times.

I agree, sometimes I wonder if something, like the Cup 2s, is a product really the best or just popular.

Finally beat my PBT at Tor Poznan as well as established the Mustang record at this track. Tire this time is Nankang AR-1 and it worked really nicely at these moderate temperatures (19C/66F). Next day at another track temps were around 30C/86F and the AR-1 was overheating rather quick.

A little improvement today thanks to the Yoko A052. I got to compare the two sets (AR-1 and A052) same day in the same conditions. Nankang: 1:47.856 Yokohama: 1:47.148.

The yoko didn't make it though. After circa 4 track days tires look like this:

Had ‘em, loved ‘em, can’t really get ‘em any more. Well, sometimes they’re available in the size I like, but not very often and the price has really skyrocketed. C’mon Goodyear! Get it together.

First event in 4 years, and first ever in this car. And it was 90s and sunny. So definitely only went 8/10 all day. And coming from my little MS3 with rock-hard suspension and racing buckets with 6-point harnesses, the body roll and looseness in the seat took some adjusting to.
Looking to get out there another 1-2 times this year and start pushing it harder.
