Wife just purchased a 2016 Mustang GT, Oxford White, Silver Fade stripes. Nice car. I'm trying to find out what the heck the small rotary knob to the right of the steering column and left of the radio stack is for...I have turned it and don't see anything changing anywhere...Any Clues would be greatly appreciated. I don't see anything about it in the owner's manual either.

Found this on Ebay, and where I circled in Blue is where the knob is...

possibly gain for an aftermarket amplifier ?

or maybe a speed knob... you know, in case the car is too fast, you can turn it down (joking) :)

My first guess would be that it's gain control or volume control for a subwoofer. A pic would help :like:

It is exactly where that little knob is that I circled. has a black knob on the outside of that pin sticking through the dash. So apparently it is not in everyone's car...interesting...I don't hear volume increase on radio or anything when I turn it, so I'm going to say it isn't for an AMP. I don't detect any change in anything to be honest. There are three small vents above it...I don't know if those are in everyone's cars or not. Sorry, I'm just now getting into the latest body style...last Mustang I had was a 2012 Shelby GT500...

No button is in that location from the factory.

You bough it used, so most likely a subwoofer gain knob, as others said.
