I should look into it. I am sure I will cringe seeing the front end after 1,000 miles...
just pay attention and not get behind anyone or up close.

We did an 1,800 mile round trip from Pennsylvania to Iowa and back. It was great to be in the car with my wife and dog. Yep, the dog. We got a rear seat cover and put enough blankets he had a nice platform to lay on. Also no way to scratch the seats. :)

The GT is an excellent road car. So far in only 4.5 months of ownership I've only taken one trip. 1000 miles each way St Pete to Houston and back. I love the long drives and the GT with Colgan Bra is loads of fun even for 15 hours at a time. I will head back that way at least two more times this year.

Did the same last summer with the wife and dog. 1,500 miles from SF bay up the coast through Oregon and back. Great time. Car was a joy.

Drive...

I was just thinking about that. We have a roadtrip coming up and was thinking about taking our 2015 Genesis since it'd be more comfy for the wife. Still undecided...

Drive your GT, have fun, last year we put 9000 miles on our GT to the west coast, and back home, and it was comfortable, great riding, and fun, so leave the Genesis in the garage. :ford:  John

We plan another trip west this year in the GT350 :ford:

Driving this weekend from Westchester NY to Montreal. The GPS says the drive is 5 hours at the time im planning to leave. Four months ago I made it in 4 hours and 15 mins with only one stop. This weekend im trying to make it in around 3 hours and 45 mins or 50-55 lol. Got an Escort passport 95000ix to help me out haha im gonna have to average 90-95 mph :headbang: WISH ME LUCK :ford:

Drove 1,000 miles in four days last week doing a road trip from San Diego to Santa Cruz. Had only 2,000 miles before the trip and 3,000 miles a few days later. Plan to do many more of these.

how does that sound stupid?
The STUPID part is at 90 or 95 MPH you are putting a lot of innocent lives at RISK on a PUBLIC road,if you have a need for speed, and you seem to be in a real HURRY, buy an airline ticket, and take your car to the track.

Drive that GT! I took mine on a 4 hour road trip or so within the first few months of having it and had a blast. Definitely got 2 rock chips on the lower side of the hood, but you know what, I got over that.

I find I'm not getting over my dad backing into the side fender and the new paint not really matching perfectly, but that's a different matter. Rock chips are fine.
