Anyone have any thoughts on where you could possibly hide a radar detector?

They are legal to use in GA.Do we hide it so that officers don't take it as a challenge when they do stop you or is it an unlawful item in your state??
I love my 9500 for just this reason. The biggest annoyance now are cars with blind sport/lane departure radar that trip it. Buicks seem to be the worst offenders. Thankfully most systems, BLIS included, don't use the normal K band.Recent post (by "Flak" I think) from a different thread.
"Save yourself the aggravation and spend the extra money to get a GPS enabled radar detector like the escort passport 9500ix. I hated cheap radar detectors forever, in most driving conditions they were useless because false positives dulled you to actual cops. My friend bought a 9500ix, I took one trip and was amazed. Every dumb door and "your speed"trailer was locked out and you could sniff out cops from miles and miles away. Now that my unit is trained in about six states worth of driving it's even more worthwhile to me."
In my 25+ years of driving, most with a radar in the car, leniency has been determined by my attitude and severity of the infraction. Be polite and honest and most LEOs will return it.Also, if they save you once from a ticket they were worth the investment, but if the police does pull you over and see you have a radar detector, you think they will take it easy on you?
I had a Valentine before switching to the Escort. I could care less what direction the radar is coming from; I'm slowing down regardless until the signal is gone. What I don't want is false alarms on my daily route and nationwide traffic cam warnings and the Valentine doesn't have GPS or online updates to do that. The one thing I have always hated with a radar detector... when it goes off what is the first thing you say? Wonder where they're at and you start looking around head spinning like a Doppler radar. Valentine One shows you where and how many signals it is picking up. It has the longest range out there. It does have more false alarms than the PP M2 but I can live with that for the extra range and to get a clue where to start looking. Anyway... my two cents...
The detector has to have clear view in front and back. Escort has a remote mount system for the front and rear bumpers, but it's costly....I thought possibly in place of the shaker audio plate at the bottom of the center stack. That piece certainly looks removable
The false alarms on a Valentine One is minimal. The new V1 with Laser and android sync is chosen by testers all over the net over a the Escort. Having to pay for the subscriptions every year to get the latest updates is BS. Then coming out with new models every year to make your old model obsolete is BS as well. If Valentine comes out with something new they will update your model it will never be obsolete.I had a Valentine before switching to the Escort.
