This is what I did to mine, kinda gives it an 'Eleanor' vibe.

Red stripes look good on a black car, but are kinda in your face. Black satin stripes on a black care are more subtle, but look great. Just a thought.

Whenever one of these threads pops up I say I WAS all for stripes (see avatar). Now that I have seen the car in person I'm not so sure it's needed. The cars has a very atheletic and shapely appearance as is and I just don't know that stripes add more than they could potentially take away.

So far 10 yes, 29 no.

I tend to agree that the S550 looks better without stripes. Strange as I always liked the S197 with stripes...

Liking that mopar stripe on the second one actually
I'm guessing you're talking about the FIA (fender) stripes? Not actually a mopar thing...started on a Shelby.

I like them but they are getting really played out.

Probably because the S197's sheetmetal had much flatter surfaces to work with. It was a design that heavily relied on graphics as opposed to surfacing. The S550 is like working with a different canvas.

:-) not sure if I can add it for you. Anyway, it seems most folks don't like those stripes on the S550....
