Just an FYI. I just got off the phone with ProCharger and found out you can only get the extended coverage if the system was installed by a certified ProCharger installer.

I don't see that on the Registration form?

I didn't see it on the form. They better tear up my check. If they cash it, then they've accepted my payment with all the details on the form stating I installed it myself. Could of sworn there was a box on the form I checked saying I installed it myself.

Yep, just looked at the form and there is a box marked "Self" next to "Who installed the system". Why would the have that box if it's not an option?

I may just send a check and form in anyhow and see what happens.

So a system that sells itself on how easy it is to install and provides well-regarded, comprehensive instructions, will not honor a warranty they sell UNLESS it was installed by a "certified" installer? Kind of sucks.

But Ford does the same thing with their power packs. I can install PP2 in probably 45-minutes just as well as any Ford/ASE tech (probably with more care since I have the time) and if I do I lose my warranty entirely (according to Ford). Great...

Gotta reduce risk somehow...

Doesn't make any sense, since they are simply warranting the main head unit. What does who installed the system have to do with the head unit failing?

Let me clear this up a bit.....

There used to be a "powertrain warranty" back in the day.
(Which required installation by a certified installer, per that warranty company) This no longer exists, it was through a 3rd party company.

ON our NORMAL 3 year warranty for the headunit, it doesn't matter who installs. (as long as its a FULL SYSTEM, and the $$$ gets sent in)
Which is what I am sure you are talking about... so ALLLL GOOOD :)

NOTE: And when the money gets sent in, we send you 3pack of oil as well, so the $$$ really is a wash at that point. :)

This is what I tell all our customers, for the money you are paying, you are buying oil that you needed to buy anyway. So the warranty is basically free...

Anyone have a link to copy of said paperwork for the coverage? I seemed to have misplaced my instruction manual.
