Maybe that's how many they sold of that revision.
Shouldn't have sold any with no testing :frusty:!

More money "pilot testing" than just agreeing some ONE person to test before it all goes tits up

Well that didn't go to plan...

After all that, the starter motor got delivered to Modurstang, along with a new revision of the headers and it turns out we have a smaller starter motor any way, so the 3 "smaller" starter motors Kooks found were actually bigger :(

Kook's manufacturing process has a tolerance of 1mm each way, which means they either fit or they rub on the starter motor or the steering. When this happens they then need to be persuaded to fit with a hammer and this is the only way they will fit. This is also how Mike fits his.

So now I've instructed my garage to make it fit and hopefully have it back by the weekend.

There is absolutely no need for such closeness to the starter motor or the steering shaft:confused:

The Streetfighter ones were a pain to fit, especially for me tackling the job on axle stands... but on a lift, and with my experienced spanner man helper, they weren't that bad, and once fitted there was plenty of room between the headers and nearby components...

^ echoing the above points, suppose this happens when a company who doesn't have a RHD tries to make them... Which maybe where Enoch gets the pip as SF are Auzzie designed headers IIRC and therefore would have a RHD mustang to test them on rather than constantly shipping out bodge jobs.

That's, not to be taken away from the fact that kooks are actively working with MuS to try and revise a new set of the headers and get them to fit...

Mike is really busy atm with work, being one man down and providing people, not necessarily even customers, phone support with their Mustang problems. I don't think he was even expecting the starter motors or new headers from Kooks.

If anyone is looking for a job, Mike desperately needs another experienced mechanic.

Two men down... I tried to get my mechanic to go there, but he said unless the pay was good he can't travel down there everyday but tried :p

Yes Mike is a few men down (Tom left, and then another left... )

When I spoke to Mike earlier he mentioned names but unfortunately I have a head like a sieve.

Is there really such a shortage of mechanics ?

Mechanics no, good mechanics who give a shit about their work, yes.

Good to know. I'm running an arh cat back and live the quality so I would be tempted to buy their headers if tested on RHD (unlike kooks). Otherwise I guess I'm going to have to investigate how to get street fighters to the uk.
