Kooks started off by suggesting that we forced the starter motor in and manipulating the header away to make space but this would damage the ceramic coating.

suggestion 2, they are about to run off a new revision of the headers next week and they would send me one, but this introduces the problem of me having no car and having to re-coat them.

Suggestion 3, they would provide me with an uprated starter motor that they run on their race cars, that's smaller.

I'd be more worried about the heat wash roasting the starter motor over time...

If they're ceramic coated they should be fine.. If they're not - Yeah.

From 1st hand experience with a ceramic coated exhausts, if it's that close, it will make little difference.
Think 666mac took his for a run and said he could touch them.

TBH, i've seen the way "some" people without coating have done to their cars and still seems fine.

Still waiting on Kooks to decide if they're going to send me the starter motor, which got me thinking. If Kooks do send me a starter motor, would I still get taxed on an item that's cost me nothing ?

Other than gift, what other options can they chose ?

Will it mean it gets through customs quicker, I want my car back before the weekend ? :(
