I think you could shave a second off that time.

Mile high elevation is what is killing his time... A GT @5280ft elevation does 0-60 in 6.1-6.4 sec. I think you might be able to get your time to around 7.5-7.7sec all stock with just a change in technique/weather.I think you could shave a second off that time.

How did you manage to get that time? I have the same gears and tune plus i have a few mods and im nowhere need 6s yet alone 5sMine is 5.6 with Unleashed tune in 92F weather in Florida. I believe I can do better times when it gets colder.
Whats the ideal elevation to do a 0-60 run?Google! You are between 300-700ft or 75-210 meters. You won't have much of any change in power because of elevation.
Okay Thanks guys, It feels like a new car but I just wanted a second opinion.Big time!
Try to launch at 2300-2500rpm, release clutch not too slow not too fast and always be ready to shift to next gear around 6900rpm. For example if I shift at 6500-6700 my 0-60 is going to suck. Another thing I do is put some pressure down with my palm on front side of the shifter which allows me to quickly switch from 1st to 2nd gear as soon as I disengaged clutch pedal. How did you manage to get that time? Not that slow. My factory 5.0 6spd pulled consistent 5.4 0-60s. With a Lund tune, CBE and MTs Streets, 4.9 most daysMile high elevation is what is killing his time...
