Am I understanding correctly that 305's on all 4 corners will work with the stock GT350 front wheels?
Yep. I have 305/30s on all 4 corners - oem wheels GT350.

How is your wheel gap with 30s vs 35s? Is it noticeable?

Yes I have Hankook 305 30 r19 square. Works great. First thing I noticed was turn in was a lot quicker. But I got used to it after a day or so. Don't even notice it now.

I have Ford performance lowering springs so I didn't really notice too much of a gap but there may be more Gap if you don't have Springs on there

30 series tires but I have Ford performance lowering springs

Looks great! Probably do need to add lowering springs if you go with 30s. How's the ride with those springs? Is it harsh?

I like the ride its slightly firmer than stock but not harsh. The car feels flatter in the turns and a bit better planted than stock. I Daily my car w/o any issues.

How do you find your Hankook tires? Also what Hankook tire did you decide to get.

I got them from my local tire shop. I got the Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 305 30 r19.

I don't notice any difference in Street driving. On the track the Michelin tires will win.

Hi Guys,
now that the snow has finally melted in my area of Canada I am looking to pull the trigger on some street tires. I would like to thank EF300 for his recommendation of the Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 305 30 r19.

Currently I am deciding between the Hankooks or the Firestones in the below size. The firestones in my area seem to be the favourate value performance tire. My question for mustang6G is if running a narrower front tire as below would cause issues on the street? They don't have a 295 tire but they do have a 285/30 and a 285/35 tire. Note that rears can only be had in 325/35. Would is be worthwhile to match the sidewall ratio front to rear?

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500
Front
stock (295/35R19) VS 285/35R19
Sidewall 4.1" 3.9"
Width 11.6" 11.2"
Diameter 27.1" 26.9"

Back:
stock (305/35R19) VS 325/30R19
Sidewall 4.2" vs 3.8"
Width 12" vs 12.8"
Diameter 27.4" vs 26.7"

It's not "ideal" but far from inappropriate particularly on the street. Even on the track it's not the end of the world.

Looks like MPSS's are done in 325 too as in stock is out. Personally if it's just road use, I'd have zero issues with running Continental ExtremeContact Sports. And way more affordable. After I kill my MPSS's though I'm going to go to 305/30-19 and 325/30-19 Goodyear Eagle F1 R3's for track use.

I've now heard the Continental ExtremeContact Sports mentioned a few times here on the board, and from a friend who recommended them. Looks like those same sizes you posted would be needed for them: 305/30-19 and 325/30-19 - sounds like those would be the best bet sizes for stock 2019 non-r wheels. Would you recommend those over the PSS tires in the correct size (for DD duty)?

On tirerack.com it's about $1175 for the set. Thinking about losing any more ground clearance is giving me anxiety.. I've only had the car a week and I've already had to realize that I'll be having to do a lot of street parking and avoid about 50% of driveways! I don't even have my front splitter on yet and I've scraped the car 3 times, while trying to go as slow as possible and avoiding anything that looks "steep" completely. Much more worried about that than a minor speedo tweak!

I've only driven the Conti's on autocross and to the gas station but from what I can tell they're definitely more DD friendly than MPSS's. Conti's usually are one of the better street oriented tires. As far as ground clearance, you're losing about 9mm in the rear and 12 in the front TOTAL DIAMETER. Frankly, I feel like that's small potatoes considering how low the car already is particularly for a factory pony car. An incorrectly inflated 295/35 could make that negligible. If you're concerned about the street, run high 30's - 40 PSI.
