I'm happy to report that all leaks are gone. Now I need to rethink this whole oil change process so that this does not happen again. What a sh!t show....

If your car is still under warranty, I'd use the genuine Motorcraft filters. I have an extended warranty and use only the Motorcraft ones so the dealer can't say anything about it.
Yeah, still under warranty AFAIK. Thanks for the heads up on the motorcraft filters.

Might ask around, there is a shop near me that had a oil change section and they said if you bring your own stuff they will change it for $20.
I do my own now but when we move in a few years to a condo I will have to pay someone.
