The peak MAF value in this log is at 6574 RPM. I would assume HP peaks around 6600? The MAF goes down to 46.9 at 7k RPM where I shifted.
Probably, yes.

Should the MAF always flow continue to go up after peak hp? In my case it does not. MAF actually goes down slightly with additional RPM.

With my livernois tune my maf peaked around 6600 rpm at 45lb/min around there and went down as rpm climbed. It's in another thread somewhere. Search the thread for exact #s before burning me at the stake lol.

Since being AED tuned I hit 46-47 at the same rpm and it keeps climbing. The AED tune crushes the livernois tune fwiw.

Considering an engine is really an air pump the more air it's moving equates to more power in simple terms?

Shaun at AED tunes these cars well. If he worked with the nGauge I would’ve gone with him over Lund. What mods do you have on the car?

Engine mods Borla S Catback, Airaid Intake w/ MVT removed / AED 93 Octane Tune, Reische 170 T-stat and that's it, as basic as it get. It's crazy compared to the before (livernois tune) and I'm hesitant to fuck with it, Hence why I'm still on the fence about the 18 intake.

Livernois to AED with no change but the tune was immense that's all I can say, Shaun is a wizard!

Not to mention If you have an auto he can get rid of that rev matching bullshit when in fully auto mode / slowing down and it'll drive like a normal car without constantly locking the coverter. It's amazing.

Impressive flow for those mods. I see the same and have longtube headers also.

Bringing this one thread from the dead...

About to begin FBO effort on my new '20 GT A10 base. Only mods so far catch can & wheels/tires.
Will be self-tuning with hp tuners

Just did a first log. Nice cool air, but not ideal humidity and baro (about to drizzle out)
36deg F, 65% humidiity, 29.86 Baro.
3rd gear pull
Surprisingly high readings.
50.5 at 7050rpm and holds through nearly 7400rpm.
Maybe just short of 1% STFT+LTFT so adjustment would only be higher.

Sounds like a solid starting point. 18+ cars are running strong! I logged a run at my last trip to the drag strip. Only mod being wheels/tires (bigs and littles) and correcting for LTFT and STFT, my highest logged lb/min was 51.08 at 7011 rpm. Ran 11.55 @ 121.52 on a 1.851 60'.

Thanks for the comparison. Seems we've got similarly strong cars. You've got the strongest dyno #s out there so I'm in good company. Your dyno is close to what some get with headers and a tune. Or Steeda's bullit, close even after they tuned it. I wonder how they can vary so much. (good number of cars ~400-410whp stock)

Seeing peak of 49.76 lbs/min with my tune only 20 GT. Everything else stock. That was on an 11.92 @ 118 pass. Shift points are turned up and it seems to keep moving more air with the increased RPM.

Here's maf vs RPM:

Updated for my 2020 GT. Stock previously near 51.0 in very cool winter air (less than -1000 DA). Today's conditions maybe even better, 34degrees, 30.20 Baro, but about 90% humidity.
+ Velossa air duct, S-Type Borla cat-back. Tuning begun by me but nothing done to air or fuel, all trans/rev limit/torque management. About 52.90 peak MAF adjusted for now ~ -2% Trims. Doesn't drop off all the way to 7600rpm.
